Are You 65 or Older and Need a Care Package?
We are only accepting requests from #AdvanceFolk residents of the south side of Chicago and South Suburban Cook County for those 65 and older in need of basic need items through our #AdvanceFolk Care Package Program.
If you are an #AdvanceFolk (senior) in need of a care package, please call (708) 251- 3345 to request delivery of a care package or click here to complete the Care Package Request Form.

#AdvanceFolk Care Package Program
In many communities, some senior citizens are living below the poverty line. We have all heard stories of the elderly having to make decisions about whether to pay for necessities or purchase much-needed medication. There have even been stories of seniors eating cat food because that was the only food they could afford.
Our outreach programs strive to meet the diverse needs of the aging population by providing case management support services, personal care services, nutritious food, and personal care items. We conduct giveaways quarterly for the aging population living in senior buildings and facilities.
For organizations, churches, or food banks that would like to request our #AdvanceFolk care packages to distribute to their senior clients, please click here to complete our partner request form.

Elderly poverty in the Chicagoland area is a growing concern, with many older adults struggling to meet their basic needs. Rising healthcare costs, limited income, and lack of access to essential services put seniors at risk of financial instability, impacting their health and quality of life. At Open Arms 101, we are dedicated to empowering elderly individuals through comprehensive support, education, and advocacy. Our programs focus on addressing these challenges by providing personalized care, evidence-based interventions, and access to vital resources to help seniors thrive and maintain their independence.
